HUBERT DE GIVENCHY - Thyssen Museum, Madrid
I see Paniculata in this design...Don´t you?????
This retrospective of costumes and hats of one of the most influential
designers of the late twentieth century is notable for its association
with famous characters that brought the creations of this great French
couturier; is the case of Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy or the Duchess
of Windsor, among other chic people.
You can see the dresses with
pictures of actresses, socialites and first ladies, sometimes
accompanied by the creator.
Several of the rooms were chaired by extraordinary pictures of the
museum’s own collection; Zurbarán, Rothko … are some of the painters to
Givenchy’s creations were associated more or less directly.
On any case,
a Luxury for your sight, as were acclimated nicely thanks to the work
of Paloma Alarcó, Paula Luengo and the rest of the museum team, who have
managed to mix both types of creations without charging excessively
every room. There is quite what to watch without charging excess
objects.
